Ce titre suggère un appel à l’aide. Les images traitent les dualités de ce monde : utopie et dystopie, passé et futur, humains et machines, technologie et vivant. Allen Mack s’intéresse à la condition du monde actuel et à la société. Ce voyage est conduit par le démon intérieur de l’artiste, parcourant les distorsions de l’histoire humaine et leurs ressemblances avec l’idéologie dominante. Allen Mack se penche sur la « pathologie du statu quo consumériste ».

Il y a des moments où tout semble merveilleux… Dans l’ombre des crises qui bombardent le monde, nous croyons profondément en un retour aux sources – au local, à la nature, au lien social, à l’improvisation mais aussi à des nouvelles sources de magie. Nous croyons aussi aux possibilités des sens humains. L’atmosphère pessimiste de notre époque, assombrie par la crise climatique, le coronavirus et la guerre en Ukraine, fait échouer le rationalisme et nous laisse sans défense. L’art d’Allen Mack s’inscrit dans le mouvement post-humaniste. Il interroge ce que nous pourrions apprendre des plantes, des animaux et des éléments. La crise est une opportunité de changer. Le changement réclame réflexion.

À propos d’Allen Mack 🌟

Allen Mack est un peintre bulgaro-polonais, actuellement installé à Varsovie. Il est né à Poznań en Pologne mais il est également très proche de la culture bulgare par son père. Les différences culturelles et l’enrichissement mutuel ont toujours été au cœur de sa démarche artistique. Il essaie d’exprimer dans son art les émotions et pensées de sa génération.

Il a étudié la peinture aux Beaux-Arts de Varsovie et à l’université des Arts de Poznań. Il utilise principalement la peinture à huile, mais a parfois recours à des bombes de peinture ou à l’acrylique.
Depuis 2019, il est membre et co-fondateur du collectif artistique YTS Young Talented Sexy et co-fondateur de la Galerie Piec à Poznań.

The title of the exhibition suggests a call for help. The images show the dualisms present in the world: utopia and dystopia, past and future, man and machines, organic and technology. Allen Mack deals with current problems concerning the condition of the modern world and society. It is a journey led by the inner demon of the artist’s mind, devoted to the distortions of the history of the human being in relation to the currently dominant ideology. Concerns the pathology of the consumer status quo.

There are moments when everything seems wonderful … In the shadow of the crises that bombard the world, we think intensely about returning to the foundations of life – to local resources, to nature, to cultivating relationships with others, to improvising, also to new sources of magic. We consider the possibilities of the human senses. The pessimistic atmosphere of our times, overshadowed by the ecological catastrophe, the coronavirus, and the war in Ukraine, make rationalism fail and make people helpless. Allen Mack’s art is part of the posthuman movement. It asks what we can learn from plants, animals and the elements. The crisis is an opportunity for change. Change asks for reflection.

About Allen Mack 🌟

Allen Mack is a polish-bulgarian painter, currently based in Warsaw.
He was born in Poznań, Poland, but he is also strongly connected with Bulgaria from his father’s side. He has always had interesting experiences related to cultural differences, and above all, their mutual enrichment. He tries to express his generation’s feelings and thoughts.
He studies Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, and University of Arts in Poznań. Mostly he works with oil paint, but sometimes he uses spray paint to mix it with acrylics an oils.
From 2019, he is a member and co-founder of the art collective YTS Young Talented Sexy and co- founder of Galeria Piec in Poznań.
